ECE Alumnus Kub Honored for LED Material Innovation
Clark School alumnus Dr. Fritz Kub will be honored for his technology innovations related to gallium nitride (GaN) light emitting diodes (LED) and microwave transistors at the annual Innovation Hall of Fame induction ceremony on November 25, 2014.
Engineering Alumni Network Events
On October 14, nearly 100 Clark School grads came together for the Baltimore Alumni Networking Event at the Baltimore Museum of Industry for a night of catching up with fellow alumni and meeting current students working with Oculus Rift, Google Glass, and 3-D printing and scanning. The Engineering Alumni Network is hosting three more events this year: Tuesday, November 11 in Philadelphia, Pa.; Wednesday, November 12 in Wilmington, Del.; and Tuesday, December 2 in Silver Spring, Md. Last month, the Clark School hosted its second annual Mpact Week showcasing research, education, and innovations. This year’s theme was Disaster Resilience and the role engineers play in developing innovative solutions to help prevent, mitigate, and respond to disasters.
