Clark School Scholarships

The A. James Clark School of Engineering and the University of Maryland, College Park are committed to providing an affordable world-class education. In 2019, the University of Maryland was ranked 10th among public colleges for in-state students on Kiplinger's 2019 Best College Values.

Academic Year 2020 - 2021 Scholarship Information and Applications

ASHRAE Undergraduate Engineering Scholarships
Scholarships are awarded to undergraduate engineering or pre-engineering students who are enrolled full-time in a post-secondary educational institution and pursuing a Bachelor of Science or Engineering degree in a course of study that traditionally has been a preparatory curriculum for the HVAC&R profession. Scholarships are valued up to $10,000.

The Atkins Minorities and Women STEM Scholarship Program
This scholarship is available to Junior and Senior-level College students pursuing baccalaureates STEM degrees specifically related to disciplines within our industry. Atkins Women and Minorities STEM Scholarship is awarded on a competative basis based on academic achievement, personal qualities and strengths, and letters of recommendation and evidence of unmet finanical need.  

The BHW Group
Women who are pursuing an undergraduate or master's degree and are majoring in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics during the 2020 school year are eligible for the current scholarships. The BHW scholarship is valued at $3,000. 

Dotcom-Monitor Women in Computing Scholarship
The scholarship is open to female students currently enrolled as full-time undergraduate students at an accredited college or university in the U.S. or Canada.  Applicants should have either already declared their major or have completed at least one academic year in computer science, computer engineering, or a closely related technical field. Amount totals to $1,000. 

Lockheed Martin STEM Scholarship
Lockheed Martin launched a new scholarship program in 2019 to provide opportunities to students who want to build their talents and change the world! We are continuing to award scholarships of $10,000 per student - renewable each year. The program will continue to add up to 200 new recipients each  year, and will be open to individuals studying engineering or computer science that demonstrate finanical need and come from underrepresented or underserved communities.  

SAE Scholarships
Through generous contributions from various individuals, corporations, and universities, SAE International is proud to award scholarship money to both undergraduate and graduate engineering students. Funded through the SAE Foundation, these scholarships encourage academic excellence and help students around the world to pursue their passion for engineering. Scholarships are available for undergraduate and Graduate students. 

SME Education Foundation Scholarship
SME Education Foundation scholarships provide financial support to support to students pursuing a degree in an engineering discipline closely related to manufacturing or a technology field of study related to manufacturing.  

Society of Women Engineers Scholarship
The SWE Scholarship Program provides financial assistance to women admitted to accredited baccalaureate or graduate programs, in preparation for careers in engineering, engineering technology and computer science. In 2018, SWE disbursed approximately 238 new and renewed scholarships valued at more than $830,000.
