Descriptions:
The LGBT Equity Scholarship will be awarded this year for the Spring 2022 semester. Applicants must be undergraduate or graduate students at the University of Maryland, College Park who have demonstrated a commitment to promoting civil rights for and preventing discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation and/or gender identity against LGBTQ+ people. Recipients must be full-time registered students during the entire Spring 2022 semester, in good standing enrolled in a degree program at UMD, and must be making satisfactory progress. The selection committee may also consider financial need and academic achievement when determining the recipients. At least one awardee will receive $1,500, though more scholarship may be awarded as determined in the selection process. All students (undergraduate and graduate) who will be full-time at the University of Maryland College Park during the Spring 2022 semester are eligible to apply.
