What Made You Decide to Attend UMD?

I decided to attend UMD since it had a very strong engineering program. Additionally, it was also very close to home which made it nicer to visit family and financially better for in-state tuition.

Best Experience with a Class or Project

My best experience with a class or a project was the PLSC115 class. The PLSC115 goes into depth about the microbiological health of fresh produce. We were able to visit the UMD garden center outside of Eppley and actually go on a tour and visit the garden during class.

Favorite Class In Major

CMSC132: Objected Oriented Programming II

Favorite Class Out of Major

PLSC115: How Safe is your Salad? Microbiological Safety of Fresh Produce

Student Organizations/Extracurricular Activities

UMD Gardening Club
Beekeeping Club
Boxing Club
Intramural Sports

Favorite On-Campus Event

Favorite On-Campus Event was going to the Penn State football game here at the University of Maryland.

Favorite Research or Study Abroad Experiences

My favorite research project was being able to look into cryptography and researching the background into how ciphers work and their role in the Internet of Things.

Cool Engineering Experience

A cool engineering experience was to be able to visit and work in the SSL here at the University of Maryland. I got to visit the Neutral Buoyancy Tank and work with my Gemstone team on researching and testing advanced suits capable for satellite repairs.
