The Institute for Systems Research

Mr. David Alldredge is an Adjunct Professor of Systems Engineering serving in the Systems Engineering Education Program at the University of Maryland’s Institute for Systems Research.  Prior to this he spent 30 years as a practicing systems engineer in industry.  Mr. Alldredge has extensive experience in the concept formulation, design, and systems engineering of computer systems and associated data center operations for web-based, interactive and database systems for several Federal Agencies including NSA, DIA, the State Department, NASA, the FAA, and the Army, the European Space Agency (ESA) and commercial clients.  He has held lead systems engineering positions on federal contracts at Computer Sciences Corporation, SAIC, and Booz Allen Hamilton. He also developed the entire IT infrastructure and concept of operations as an independent consultant to a small survey research firm.  He is a member of INCOSE and IEEE.  He is certified by INCOSE as an Expert Systems Engineering Professional (ESEP), and is certified in 4 ITIL(R) v3 Intermediate Capability Areas and Foundation.

Honors and Awards 

Alldredge was the leader of a team awarded a NASA Group Achievement Award for providing a much-improved interface for the scheduling of NASA satellite and Space Shuttle communications with the NASA Network Control Center at the Goddard Spaceflight Center.
