Descriptions:

The late Alvin C. Blankenship and Jeanette L. Blankenship established through the University System of Maryland this scholarship in the A. James Clark School of Engineering to honor their daughter's wishes that they designate a trust to provide financial support for the education of female engineering students. Recipients are chosen from the annual roster of scholarship award recipients. Students participating in the School's Flexus Program, the Society of Women Engineers or similar programs that promote/advocate the enrollment and successful graduation of female students may be considered for this scholarship.
