The Conundrum of Scheduling in Wireless Networks: Who Should Transmit What, to Whom, When?
| video |
Professor Tony Ephremides
Institute for Systems Research and Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering
The most basic problem in operating a wireless network is simply captured by the subtitle of this talk. To date, we still do not have the answer. The problem can be formulated, understood, and pursued. However, there are many imponderables, complicating factors, and unknowns that resist a full resolution.
We will review the framework of this problem (which applies to more and more applications nowadays) and then display a sample approach, and what we can glean out of it, for one specific instance of it.
